Past Presidents' Scholarship Fund

TMGMA Conference Attendee Scholarship ($500)
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide opportunities for those individuals who would otherwise not be able to attend a state level MGMA Conference.

  • Two scholarships available
  • Awarded at TMGMA Fall Conference
  • Funds must be used for attendance with TMGMA state meetings (registration, hotel, travel, meals, TMGMA dues)
  • Funds must be used at one of the two conferences after the award presentation
  • Must be a member in good standing of a TMGMA affiliated local chapter
MGMA-ACMPE Annual Conference Attendance ($2000)
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage the pursuit of Fellowship within MGMA-ACMPE and to allow an individual who otherwise would not be able to attend an MGMA Annual Conference.

  • One scholarship available
  • Awarded at TMGMA Fall Conference
  • Funds must be used for attendance with the MGMA-ACMPE Annual Conference (registration, hotel, travel, meals, MGMA dues and/or ACMPE testing fee)
  • Funds must be used by November 30 of the year following the award presentation
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Tennessee MGMA

To submit a Scholarship application, please complete the form below and submit the following information to the TMGMA office:

  • A current resume (maximum one page, should include MGMA involvement at national, state and local chapter level)
  • A written response to the following question, "Why do you feel you deserve this scholarship and how will you use the funds to advance your professional development?". Limit to 700 words, signed and dated by the applicant.

*Qualification Criteria:

Applicants must be a member of either TMGMA or a local chapter as noted for each scholarship for a period of least one year prior to the date of the application. Membership must remain current through the award period. Membership will be verified.

Scholarship funds must be used within the allotted time dependent on the award received.

Scholarship funds are available for reimbursement of approved educational and/or travel expenses as documented by approved receipts. Approval is by the Chair of the Council of Past Presidents.

Receipts must be submitted within one month of the conference attendance. No exception shall be made for late requests.

All requested materials must be submitted with the application for consideration. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
