TMGMA encourages continuing professional development for all medical practice managers and administrators.

Karen Bowman, FACMPE CPC CPMA serves as the ACMPE Forum Rep for Tennessee. Questions regarding requirements, deadlines, paper topics, mentors, and eligibility requirements, can be emailed to Karen at kbowman@giassociatesofcleveland.com. The Tennessee ACMPE Committee has members across the state to better assist you.

ACMPE Continuing Education Requirements

A cumulative total of 50 credit hours is among the requirements for advancement and maintenance of Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) status. Members may receive credit for continuing education taken up to one month prior to your nominee acceptance date – specifics of what counts towards credit can be found on the MGMA ACMPE Continuing Education credit page.

  • All MGMA state conferences and webinars meet the requirements for continuing education credit hours from ACMPE. These CE hours are good towards certification requirements.

Study Groups

For Certification, there are 8 weekly webinar modules covering the 6 domains in the Body of Knowledge, which are open to members and non-members. Click here for study resources and events.

The Fellowship study group webinar series is designed for MGMA members who are considering Fellowship to learn more about the process and requirements and encourage them to earn their FACMPE.
