ABOUT THE WEBINAR

Traditional health care business model. Provider consolidation, team-oriented and accountable care delivery, and emerging alternative payment models (APMs) are requiring stakeholders to redefine and redesign. Quality and efficiency have begun to intersect with payment. More and more healthcare purchasers are measuring the quality and efficiency provided by hospitals, physicians and non-physician providers to become purchasers of value. This session will focus on measures being used by payers to determine the value of services delivered, and how providers can position to thrive as payment shifts from transaction-based to analytic-based economics.
Recommended Attendee Prerequisite/Pre-work:
Conduct an assessment of the reimbursement models – present and future – being used or discussed with payers with whom the clinical practice or provider works.

Takeaway: Session will address core competencies in operations, financial management, leadership and healthcare innovation.

Objectives: By the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to:
1. Identify common categories of quality and efficiency measurement.
2. Evaluate use of quality and efficiency measures in determining value-based payment
3. Integrate best practices in structured data capture during the clinical workflow.
4. Apply the foundational guiding principles to workflow redesign using health IT.
