The Past Presidents' Scholarship Fund has been created to assist with the cost of continuing education and professional development in the area of Medical Practice Management. TMGMA awards a $2,000 scholarship in the Fall to an Active member for advancement in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Funds must be used for attendance to the MGMA Annual Conference (reimbursable expenses include MGMA member dues, ACMPE testing fee, AC registration, hotel, travel and meals)
TMGMA awards two $500 scholarships each Fall to Active members of one of our local MGMA chapters. Recipients of these scholarships do not have to be a member of the Tennessee MGMA, but must be active in their local chapter. These awards are designed to defray the expenses of attending a Tennessee MGMA conference (reimbursable expenses include TMGMA member dues, Spring or Fall conference registration, hotel, travel and meals).
Applicants must be a member of either TMGMA or a local chapter as designated above for a period of least one year prior to the date of the application. Membership must remain current through the award period. Membership will be verified.
Applicants must complete the application below and submit their resume to Rebekah Francis at least 30 days before the Fall conference.
Scholarship funds awarded must be used by November 1st of the following year.
Scholarship funds awarded are available for reimbursement of educational expenses as documented by approved receipts.
Receipts must be submitted within one month of the conference attendance. No exception shall be made for late requests.
